1. Accessibility requirements

The requirements for digital accessibility are set out in Legislative Decree No. 82 of 27 May 2022 “Implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on accessibility requirements for products and services”, which for the technical aspects refers to standard UNI EN 301549.

Specifically, the conformity of the website must be assessed against the criteria indicated in chapters 9 “Web” and 10 “Non-web content”, which refer to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level A+AA.

The four fundamental principles of digital accessibility as expressed in WCAG 2.1 are:

  • Perceptible: The contents are presented in a clear and comprehensible manner.
  • Usable: The interface is easily navigable by all users.
  • Understandable: Information and operations are intuitive and easy to interpret.
  • Robust: The site is compatible with the most common assistive technologies.

Referring to the aforementioned UNI EN 301549 standard, which clearly lists the 50 success criteria to be considered in order to verify the accessibility of a website, technical analyses were carried out with respect to website content including both textual and non-textual information, downloadable documents and forms, and two-way forms of interaction, such as the processing of digital forms and the completion of authentication, identification and payment processes.

Areas excluded from application

Article 1(5) of Legislative Decree No. 82/2022 indicates that the provisions of the decree do not apply to the following website content and mobile applications:

  • Time-based media prerecorded and published before 28 June 2025;
  • Office file formats published before 28 June 2025;
  • Online maps and map services, where for maps intended for navigation the essential information is provided in an accessible digital mode;
  • Third-party content that is neither financed nor developed by the economic operator concerned nor under its control;
  • Website and mobile application content considered archives in the sense that it only contains content that has not been updated or reworked after 28 June 2025.

 

2. General description of the service

This site is aimed at the end consumer and offers a commercial information and booking service for the Hotel Laurin in Salò.

The main functions are listed below:

  • Facility presentation: section dedicated to the presentation of the accommodation facility and its spaces.
  • Room presentation: section dedicated to the presentation of the individual rooms available, with images, descriptions and presentation of the services offered.
  • Presentation of the restaurant service: section dedicated to the presentation of the restaurant in the facility, with images and descriptions.
  • Proposals for events: vertical area dedicated to the proposals that the structure offers for special events, such as weddings and meetings, with a direct link to the contact form.
  • Proposals for experiences: a vertical section dedicated to the presentation of possible experiences that a customer can have in the resort, divided into family, sports and cultural experiences.
  • Reservation service: presence of a direct link to the external room reservation platform (www.reservations.verticalbooking.com)
  • Contacts: page with contact form, telephone and email

 

3. Operation of the service

The site can be accessed from desktop devices, tablets and smartphones via the main web browsers currently on the market and is available in Italian, English, French, German and Russian. Navigation of the site is straightforward via an intuitive menu.

Below is an in-depth look at the functioning of the main services offered by the site:

  • Accommodation consultation: the user can obtain more information about the accommodation by clicking on the menu item ‘villa’
  • Room consultation: the user can obtain more information about the rooms offered by the accommodation by clicking on the menu item ‘rooms’

4. Fulfilment of accessibility requirements

In order to improve accessibility and user experience Eredi Rossi Srl has integrated a widget (UserWay PRO) into the website that is the subject of this statement. Its use by the users of the website is totally free of charge and allows to improve the compliance of the website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). 
UserWay PRO provides multiple functionalities for improving the accessibility of the website and the user experience, through a special panel that can be displayed by clicking on the widget icon or by using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+U, as listed below.

  • Line spacing: increases line height to provide more comfortable spacing for all text on site.
  • Text Alignment: aligns site text left, right or centre to ensure a personalised and more accessible reading experience.
  • Dyslexia-friendly font: the “UserWay Dyslexia Friendly” font improves readability and provides an easier and smoother reading experience for visitors with dyslexia.
  • Large cursor: increases the standard cursor size by 400% so that the pointer is always in view. Enables faster and more accessible navigation through hyperlinks, tabs and form elements.

In addition to the functionalities that the user can activate from the accessibility menu, the UserWay PRO widget can detect numerous nonconformities of the site and make the necessary corrections in real time, without changing the source code but only what the browser displays on the monitor. This allows the website to be more usable by all end users, including those using assistive technologies.

Compliance status

The guidelines and self-assessment template prepared by AgID were used to define the compliance status of the site. The technical verification carried out by an expert consultant in accessibility has expressed the following status, referring to the date of drafting or updating this notice.

This website is partially compliant with the requirements of appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard and, having been published before 28/06/2025, it is the company's intention to achieve full compliance when publishing a new website in the future.

This accessibility notice also considers the non-conformities corrected by the UserWay PRO widget as resolved, as the changes made by it meet the success criteria of the current standard.


5. Accessibility monitoring process

Eredi Rossi Srl, on the occasion of a future full update of the website subject of this statement, will devote particular attention to the process of providing the service so that it can meet the requirements defined by the regulations on digital accessibility, also using the support of external consultants for the following possible activities:

  • Technical verification of the accessibility of the website by means of a gap analysis;
  • User test of the main user flows, also using assistive technologies;
  • Analysis of technologies, plug-ins and third-party services implemented in the website;
  • Report of the gaps and nonconformities detected by the technical verification and tests;
  • Validation of the corrections of the nonconformities made;
  • Drafting of the accessibility documentation available to the public;
  • Training of its staff on good practices for digital accessibility;
  • Definition of internal policies and methods for handling requests for assistance sent by users.

Eredi Rossi Srl intends to consider periodically carrying out technical audits to monitor the accessibility of the website over time, also with the possible contribution of third parties specialised in digital accessibility, in order to make any improvements also as a result of suggestions by users.

The technical audits are carried out by an external consultant specialised in accessibility, who uses technological tools that are always up-to-date with respect to the regulations in force to review the state of conformity in various ways: with semi-automatic code checks, through manual user tests and with the aid of assistive technologies.
